All about Me

I am an ecstatic enthusiastic coach and cheerleader of teachers and parents of young children. A storyteller of life and a leader of change for the better. An advocate for children and developmentally appropriate practice in the classroom (wherever a child may be learning) and in public policy.

My goal for Blissful Teacher is to help early childhood teachers, of all venues (childcare, homeschooler, preschool or parents) find their bliss in creating developmentally appropriate, project approach, naturally influenced and neutrally colored environments and that they include the outdoors as a regular place of wonder and learning. To provide a place where they find support and love, so that we can envision our future, and the future of our children as a beautiful one, full of collaboration and mutual benefit.

I coach home-schoolers, childcare providers, preschool teachers and elementary school teachers to create child led, project based, developmentally appropriate learning environments. I can do face to face trainings with large and small groups of teachers. I occasionally offer easy to use E-classes of the above subjects and more, that one can do on their own time, with support; as every teacher who is learning something new needs support.

I have been teaching and learning for over 15 years in the early childhood education field. I hold an M.Ed in Child Development, Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified to teach PITC (Program for Infant Toddler Care) modules I and II--Modules III and IV will come later this summer.  I am a credentialed California and Arizona Elementary teacher. I have been a homeschooler, childcare provider, preschool teacher and most recently an elementary school teacher. I also do equine facilitated learning and therapy. I am the mother of two wonderful humans and the grandmother to the Sweetest Little One!
